Zieren

This model is very cool.  In fact he is so cool that I made a bit of a story about him.  I will show the pictures first and then go into the story and why he is painted this way.

               Zieren front.jpg (49577 bytes)   Zieren Back.jpg (42528 bytes)   Zieren Back full.jpg (48519 bytes)   Zieren right.jpg (42032 bytes)   Zieren right fwd.jpg (47013 bytes)

As you can see he is not your ordinary wolfen.  Well, the story behind this figure is that he is the Devourer god of the sun.  You see, sitting atop the tallest mesa in the vast desert of red sand sits this eternal figure.  He is easily the height of 100 wolfen and it is death to be within even 5 leagues.  Each devourer burns with a small portion of his fire and this is why the devourers love to destroy and kill.  His massive halberd gleams with a brightness that projects his radiance and heat to all corners of the world.  He is Zieren the God of Rage, Lord of the Undying Sun.

I painted him exclusively with Vallejo paints and because of that they are starting to become my favorites.  I am waiting for my local RTT store to bring in the Fantasy range since all I really have are the earth tones and reds.  The striations in the mesa turned out very well and I hope to incorporate that look into some future models.
