BLOOD DRAGON DISPLAY

From the pictures of the models on the base you can see that each fits on the appropriate part of the terrain.  This need for consistency resulted in bases that are plainer than I normally build but does not [IMHO] detract from the models.  The base was built out of 3mm plastic card and then the terrain was built up with 3mm and 2mm card.  I then added air drying modeling clay around the card to give it the natural structure I was after.  During the smoothing and sculpting process I used a glue water mixture to make sure the clay would be hard enough to endure gaming.  I then added greenstuff in areas to build it up more and to give it more detail.  I graveled the road with fine balast, added static grass in areas as well as some larger stone bits.  Then I sculpted the tree trunks to make it look like a cleared wooded area.  The four impaled models were built up from zombies and the Empire command sprue.  The Vampire Counts symbol on the front of the base is from Bulldog [which to my surprise is no longer working with GW].
*If anyone knows how to get a hold of Bulldog stuff please e-mail me.  I would appreciate it greatly.

DRAGON PRINCE VAMPIRE LORD
This ancient High Elf Dragon Prince fell into shadow many centuries ago.  His age and the taint of undeath have caused his skin to become an icy blue.  The model is very dark and unfortunately the purple/red of the crests did not turn out in the pictures.  I wanted his face to be the main focal point and I think I achieved that.  The golds help to provide contrast  for the model and allowed me to paint detail on the armour.  The model was built from the following pieces: HE Dragon Prince body, Imrik, Lord of Dragons sword and throne back, DE shield from Tyrion's base, HE Dragon Prince steed head and tail, Empire steed body.  More pictures can be found here.

WIGHT LORD
This model was done in a brighter silver NMM than his master.  I wanted him to stand out and the irony of bright steel plates on a dark soul was perfect.  The horse is a dark chocolate colour that didn't really show up that well in the pictures.  I wanted the horse to be subtle since horses don't usually have harsh highlights.  The model has some freehand symbols on the plate barding adding to the lordly nature of the figure.  The model was made from the following parts: Mounted priest of Sigmar body,  hammer handle and steed, wight cavalry head, wings from Prince Tyrion's steed, sword from the Space Marine Commander.  More pictures can be found here.

MERCENARY COMMANDER VAMPIRE THRALL
While this model is not converted he is perfect for the roll as a fallen Dogs of War commander.  He was painted to be a companion piece to the lord, hence the similarity in appearance.  While I have never been a big fan of the face of this model it works well for an undead figure.  The armour is also very impressive in it's historical look, something I never noticed until I was painting it.  More pictures can be found here.
