ARCHIVED HISTORY FOR 2005

December 27, 2005
I
took a break from the Wood Elves to do two figures with illumination.  The first is a Bretonnian lord with a two handed sword that glows with the light of 'the ladies' tear.  The second model, Gorman Di Wolfe is from the Warmachine line.  His grenades at his belt have a powerful red glow that contrasts highly with his dark clothes.  Both of these models can be found in Gallery VII and the Illumination Gallery.
On the Wood Elf front, the Wild Riders are getting closer to being finished and then I can paint the custom sculpted treekin.

December 6, 2005
 I
have added two 10 man units of Glade Guards to Gallery VII.  They came together pretty fast and really look great, holding to the fall theme.  The army is almost done.  Only a unit of five Wild Riders and 4 treekin.  I hope to be done...soon.

T
his is quite a large update as far as finished models goes.  I have added the third and final dryad unit to Gallery VII.  This brings the final count of dryads to 24.  I have also added both units of Glade Riders to Gallery VII as well.
I am now set to paint the 20 Glade Guards in one batch.  While they do seem to 'paint themselves' I am unsure how long I will be working on them for.

November 10, 2005
I
have finished the second unit of Wood Elf dryads. They can be found in Gallery VII.
I am also almost done the third, and last unit of dryads.  I hope to have pics up soon.  I will then be moving onto the Gladeriders and hope to have them done by the end of next week.  After that there are 2 units of 10 Gladeguards, 4 treekin and 5 Wildriders.

ell, after quite a bit of time I finally finished the Gladerider horses.  Pictures of them can be found here.
I also finished the Wardancers and have added them to Gallery VII.
I am also almost done the second unit of dryads and should have them up this weekend.

October 13, 2005
I
have added pictures of the wood elf general to Gallery VII.  I have also finished the Glade Riders horses and will now start working on the riders.

October 3, 2005
I
have added pictures of the first unit of dryads for the wood elf army to Gallery VII.  I am happy with the way the turned out and how they really fit into the fall scheme I have chosen.
I am currently working on the 10 horses for the glade riders.  I went with a palomino scheme for them since it fit in well with the browns of the army.  It also allows me to introduce some lightness into the army while keeping the overall dark tone.

I
have finally had the opportunity to take some pictures and update my site.  I apologize for the long interval between posts but I did a pretty major move to a new city.  I am settled in and should get more regular updates on the site from now on.  I have finished the spell singer and the scouts for the Wood Elf army.  They can be found in Gallery VII.
I should have the first unit of dryads done Monday.
I received the Chaos Dragon from Forgeworld today.  Other than getting two left wings the model is fantastic.  It should prove to be one of the most challenging projects I have ever undertaken.

August 16, 2005
I
have finished the Highborne for the Wood Elf army.  He sets the autumn tone for the army with a warm pallet.  More pictures can be found here.

August 12, 2005
I
had a bit of a change in plans the past week or so.  I decided to start the large project of the Wood Elf Army before I do the Space Wolves.  I will likely do the Space Wolves when I need a break from the elves.  I have built most of the models and have sculpted roots, trees and rocks for the bases.  I should have the lord done tomorrow.
I have added the Rackham model, Koren the Chosen One to Gallery VII.

July 22, 2005
I
t took me a lot longer to do the Master Wizard than I thought.  Not only is it a large task but I have been enjoying the summer.  I have added pictures of the model to Gallery VII.
I will now start on the Space Wolf models for the Army I finished back in January.  After the Space Wolves I will be starting a Wood Elf army with the amazing new models.

S
o much for having Garell up on the 28th.  He is done and up in Gallery VII now.  I am very happy with the colonial paint scheme that I chose to work in.
My next models will be some unit increases for the Space Wolf army and the Griffon Master Wizard from Confrontation.  Not quite sure which will be done first but I am thinking they will both be done around the 15th.
I should be painting a Forge World Chaos Dragon later in the summer.  I am very excited about this project and think that I might just do an article while I paint it since it is going to be such a large undertaking.  I will post more as the details come to light.

June 27, 2005
I
have two new models up in Gallery VII.  One is a converted Dark Angel Interrogator Chaplain and the other is a Rackham Spasm model that has been painted to fit a D&D concept.  The D&D figure can also be found in the Illumination Gallery.
I should have Garell the Redeemer up tomorrow.

wo updates in two days!  I have added an exceptional Confrontation figure to Gallery VII and to the Illumination Gallery.  Ejhin de Vanth is a model that has for a number of years [has it been that long?] held my fascination.  I have had it in my model closet for a very long time and finally decided to paint her.

ime flies especially in the summer.  I have finished a pair of Confrontation models from their undead range.  It is the mounted and unmounted necromancer.  Pictures can be found in Gallery VII.
I have another figure from the Confrontation undead range on the go and then I should have a converted Dark Angel Interrogator Chaplain.  I will then dive into a number of additional figures for the Space Wolf army.

May 26, 2005
I
have finished one of the grandest pieces in production by Games Wrokshop.  The new Marneus Calgar model is amazing, the pose is stunning and the detail is unparalleled. The only drawback to the model, and it is minor, is that it will be very hard to convert for other chapters.  More pictures can be found in Gallery VII.
I also added the Space Marine captain that I painted recently to the 'For Sale' page.  If you would like a unique unit or army leader check it out here.

May 16, 2005
I
have added Groduk the World Slayer to Gallery VII.  He is a converted lord of Khorne, holding the severed head of his latest victim.
I have also started Marneus Calgar, the Ultramarines chapter master. This model really has a tone of tasteful detail that is going to be a pleasure to paint.  Next, after Marneus will be the mounted and unmounted necromancer from Rackham, Asura de Sarlath.  I will really get to go to town on this model, using a variety of rotten schemes.

his will be the largest update since I injured my finger.  I have finished a unit of Ogre Kingdoms Ironcuts and also a Space Marine commander.  I also have a WiP picture of my next model.  You can find the finished models in Gallery VII and the WiP model here.
T
he Ironcuts have also been added to the For Sale page.  If you are interested in purchasing them please follow the direction on that page.
I have also decided to accept a limited number of single model and small unit contracts.  If you are interested in a contract piece please send an e-mail with the figure name and any details you consider to be important here.

May 2, 2005
I
have updated Gallery VII with an Imperial Guard Commissar.  He is a conversion of 3 IG models that have been combined to yield a completely new model.  Pictures can be found in Gallery VII.
I have four Ogre Kingdoms Ironcuts in the pipe and they are gonna look so cool.  They are converted, which is not that easy with the ogre sculpt, and I hope to have them done this week.

April 20, 2005
I
have added one of the coolest models I have ever painted to Gallery VII.  It is the Mid-Nor Cyclops from Rackham.  Not only is the pose very cool but the sculpt allows for a vast amount of creative painting freedom.  More pictures can be found in Gallery VII.

April 8, 2005
I
have now finished 5 Rackham orcs.  You can find them in Gallery VII.  I was able to test fully the recovery of my hand during this session and have found that it is back to 100%.
My next model will be a Confrontation Cyclops.  This model is so rotten that I just had to paint it.  Hope to have pictures up next week.

ell I am slowly getting back up to speed.  I have added a Grey Knights Deadnought to Gallery VII.  It was done in a similar fashion as the one I took to GD in 2004.
I will be working on a unit of Confrontation orcs next.  Another project that has been sitting idle while I took time off.  Should have pics up in a week or so.

ell, I have now started painting again.  I am being careful so it is slow going but I am now ready to start doing figures again.  The first model I have added to Gallery VII is, oddly enough, a Space Wolf.  It is based off of the new LE space marine model.  Check it out here.

February 5, 2005
Hello all.  After a month of no posts I decided to put something up on the site.  I have been putting it off for a few reasons but I have gotten enough mail asking for an update that I figured I had better get off my ass.  Unfortunately I injured my hand doing the Space Wolf army.  It is different than the last injury I suffered while doing the Tau but it is no less insidious.  Obviously armies done in short periods of time are not for me and I will not be doing another power army again.  Live and learn I guess.
There is little that can be done other than rest, exercises and activity that does not involve the action that hurt it.  This is why I have not put any new pictures up, because there are no new models.  I hope to be up and running in a few weeks but it may take longer.  I appreciate your patience and hope that you will check back from time to time to see how it is going.  I will try to do progress reports as I remember.

January 3, 2005
Hello everyone.  I have posted my final post to the Space Wolf BLOG since I am now done the army.  Final thoughts can be found in the BLOG as can final pictures of the squads.  I decided to put them in Gallery VI since they were almost done prior to the new year and hence new Gallery.  Check back in a week or so for the first model in Gallery VII.  Until then take care.
