Crisis Suits

These suits were one of the big factors for me doing this army. They take me back to Saturday morning cartoons and Battletech, my favorite cartoon of all time. While those battle suits were many times larger than crisis suits they still have the angled armour and the abundance of guns. The weapons systems were chosen to give me maximum range [missile pods] as well as marine killing power [plasma rifles]. The reason why I only twin-linked 1 weapon system out of the three suits is I plan on marking opponents for this unit. The picture of my Shas'o has him with a double missile pod, this is for show and not to symbolize twin linked. It is all about guns!

As far as painting goes I added some line texturing to simulate shine [in a cartoony way]. I also gloss varnished the missile tips, optics, white parts and green plasma cells of the plasma rifles. I also didn't distinguish my Shas'o from the guard since this unit will not always be my command unit.
