Pathfinders

This unit of my Tau army is the only one that will receive the camo look.  I see them filling a force recon roll on the table and as such will need to hunker down and do a lot of waiting.  Their primary goal is to 'light-up' targets of opportunity with their marker lights so the tank missiles can hit them.

The cammo is do in almost the exact method I did the bases in.  I really wanted them to blend into the base and figured this was the best way to do that.  The guns have been left black since that is one of the common themes for my army.  I did however, apply silhouette disruptive cammo to the pulse carbines.  This is a technique used by special forces and force recon units so that the easily recognizable shape of a gun is not so apparent.

The models will be the only foot troops without any gloss varnish application to armoured areas.  I figured that shiny and hiding don't really go together.
