Darius
is my Death Company chaplin and is included in almost all my 40K
games. The figure is composed of more than nine other models to
yield a solid look. The outlining of the black was kept to a minimum
so that the gray was not evident to the eye. The
Sgt.
Centerius of the Legion of the Damned has got to be one of the most sought
after figures that GW has made. It is an amazing figure and I
decided to convert it as little as possible as I really like the feeling
of the pose. As these marines are very mysterious and little is know
about them I decided to play up the 'damned' part with the diorama style
base and banner pole.
This
conversion of the Ltd. Ed. Inquisitor Hand to the Emperor's Champion was
done for a GT army that never materialized. I had all the intention
of doing the army but unfortunately my application was a day late getting
to Baltimore and I didn't get accepted to the Seattle GT. The figure
was sold to an avid Black Templar player who gets more use out of him than
I would.
This
playable battle diorama was made for a friend that has a massive ork
army. His 'blue skins' are a sight to see and this Ghaz model is one
of the leaders of his force. His brother plays Space Wolves, hence
the connection for the design of the base.
This
bad boy was my first experiment with static grass for fur. I am a
big fan of static grass in general and as a 'true' fur it is pretty
good. The base was done as a mini diorama with a stream of green
water running through it. I intend to carry the stream through the
entire command and front rank of the unit.
