SPACE WOLF ARMY
Bases:
In
this picture you can see that I am still very much at an early stage in the
builds of the models. Sculpting that many bases takes a fair amount of
time especially when you have to wait for one part to cure. In the
foreground you can see that I have added plastic sprue pieces to the bases.
This is a cheap way to bulk up terrain rather than use greenstuff for
everything.
In
this you can see that everyone is on a base and I only have five more to finish.
This shows the progression of the army build in that I do pretty much everything
at once.
Misc:
These
three simple conversions will really stand out on the table. I think that
the middle one is my favorite so far but the one on the right is a close second.
This
is the replacement for the marine that was lost in the Warp for a few days.
For those of you that play Space Marines you will know that a straight right arm
is just not there. I took a left arm, cut it from his shoulder and
reversed it so that it was now a right arm. I did have to sculpt the fur
over it to make it look good since it is not a very pretty conversion. The
top knot is from the WHFB orks and makes him look wild.
This
Grey Hunter has the high forehead and Conan hair making him look a bit like
Arnold. Total accident but I like it.
This
guy is my favorite non-character model. His pose is so hero that I am sure
is being looked at for future advancement to wolf guard.
This
is just of three models that have a bit of sculpting on them. The first
model is a chaos aspiring champion torso with the chaos icon removed and
replaced with a wolf skull icon. The model on his left uses a Catachan
head with loose hair. I really like the scar on his face for making the
model look mean.
This
is what the Testor A470 looks like. I have the black general acrylic tip
in it.
These
are the 2 large flat sable brushes I will use to drybrush the weathering for the
tanks. Next to them is a regular sized brush and a marine for scale.
As you can see they are damn large.
I
figured that a picture is worth a number of words so I snapped a pic of my
thumb. When I am line highlighting I will load my brush in the paint and
then make a light pass of the brush over my thumb. This removes the excess
that forms at the tip and allows me to apply a cleaner line. You can also
see residual primer on the nail from a few days ago. I scrub and scrub but
obviously I missed some. I shower honest! :)
