Forgeworld Chaos Dragon
This massive model was a project I accepted some months ago.  Of course I knew the figure was large from the scale shots on the Forgeworld site but I had no idea how huge it really was.  This model has to be the most complex figure I have ever painted, both in terms of prep work and actual paint application.  I have documented, with pictures and text, the overall process of painting this huge model.  As of March 3, 2006 this article is still a work in progress since the model is far from finished.

How I painted the Confrontation Rodeur Wolfen
This small article shows the process of how I paint a non competition model.  It is broken down into five parts with pictures to illustrate the different stages.  It should provide some insight into what I do to those that wish to observe my personal painting style.

Voctor's BT front.jpg (67068 bytes)Victor Hardy's advice on how to win at Gamesday

The following is an article that Victor wrote after his Slayer Sword win at USGD2000.  I was on a painting plateau at the time I found the article on the net.  I had not really improved my art for about a year, except to get faster and thought I would never get to a level where I could compete at the demons.  This article changed all that!  If nothing else, read this article with an open mind and then apply some or all of what Victor has said.  At the time, I found the concept of how much time he spent on his Blood Thirster just mind blowing.  I mean here I was getting faster and faster and Victor's advice was to slow down and apply many layers to get nice smooth 'glowing' blends.  I feel kind of like one of those people giving a testimonial on TV about some 'amazing' product.  And while you, the reader, may think the same thing all I can say is that his advice is sound.  After I read this article I applied many points in my painting and felt I had created some amazing models.  The rest is history.  I went to USGD2001 with 8 entries and placed in 6.  I honestly owe my wins to Victor and will be forever in his debt for opening my eyes to the 'art of miniature painting'.

How I painted the Forge World Abaddon:

This in depth multi-part article goes into all the facets of painting the amazing figure.  I discuss my techniques, colour selections and thought process throughout the entire process.  I use copious paint blends and some personalized painting techniques all of which are described in detail.  It is quite long and as such I feel I should caution the reader.
