I am still not painting but my finger is improving so I am quite a bit happier now. I still have another four weeks of not painting while I continue to return the finger to it's original state. After that I will try my hand at a bit of painting and if it is still no good then I will be off for quite some time! This is the longest I have gone without painting in 6 years and it is very difficult. Thanks to all of you that have taken the time to inquire about my finger and have a safe and Happy New Year!

November 28 2001

I have taken the past three weeks off painting for the most part due to my finger injury. It is improving due to the exercises, stretches and heat treatments [no kidding :)]. It is now at a point where I need to start to work it out doing painting [YEAH!] and so I have added some new pics to Gallery III. The D&D Chainmail Dwarf was done yesterday without any discomfort to my finger. The Clan War figure was actually done a few months ago but I am only now getting around to adding the pictures. The last figure I added was my entry in the 2nd Annual Female Painting Challenge.

November 10 2001

I have added 'Event Coverage' to the left navigation bar and it has the coverage from last weekends Rogue Trader Tournament. I have also added the Ethereal and Broadside battle suits to the Tau page.

I did quite well in the Rogue Trader Tournament, winning Best Overall out of 36 armies and ending the weekend with a 4-1-1 record. I should have some event coverage this weekend.

I have not been able to paint in the past few days because of an injury to the pointer finger of my painting hand. It is healing just fine but now I only have 2 days to finish my Tau. I have updated my For Sale page since all the items had been purchased. There is the ultra rare LoTD Sgt and a Mordian Super Heavy Tank.

Almost finished with the Tau army. Just the highlights on the 3 broadside battle suits and I am finished. It is still gonna be close since I will be unable to paint for the next two days. Anyway, my final army list is up in the Tau section as is the history and background of the Cadre.

I received the runner up award in the Inquisitor painting contest on New Wave. There are some excellent figures and the model that won the contest was truly mind blowing. Check out the contest here [the winner was entry No. 64 by Jakub Tracz].

Oh, I have my Tau stuff and I am so very happy! I still have 24 Fire Warriors and a broadside coming but the rest of my 1700pt army is cleaned, built, primed and a unit is already finished! My Tau Odessy can be found here.

Seems like forever since I updated the page and while it has been a month it hasn't been forever. No pics to speak of in this update just a note of current projects. I finished a massive Norse contract [my last contract unit] in September and will have pics soon. I am starting on a Tau army for myself and should be mostly done in a month for my local Rogue Trader Tournament. I changed my ISP for the site and hope that it didn't effect anybodies ability to look around.

I have entered a few of my Inquisitor figures in the New Wave Inquisitor painting contest. This contest runs until the 5th of October and I expect to see some amazing figures. Check out the contest rules and enter your favorite figure so we can all see that is out there!

I will be judging a Dark Elf painting contest at my local Rogue Trader store. Great White is giving everyone a single warrior so all the contestants will be on the same playing field. This should be great fun and I will post pics of my model [done just for fun] and the winner.

I am currently working on a column of how I painted the Forgeworld Abaddon for USGD. The entire column will be quite long and will be broken down into convenient sections. The column will be illustrated with pictures that I took during the painting process. Part I and II are finished.

June 29 & 30th 2001

USGD 2001 is a day that I will remember for the rest of my life. I trekked across the US from Western Canada to attend the most prestigious painting competition for table top figurines, the Golden Demons. It is here that I was awarded a staggering 6 demons for my efforts.

I can only say that I spent 5 solid months of my life dedicated to the endeavor of bringing home ONE demon. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would be awarded so many prizes.

So to all those of you that had faith in my art I thank you! And to my lovely wife, who endured almost half a year with a possessed painter I am forever in your debt.
